According to the statistics 5.02 crore pending lawsuits in various courts in India.The main reason behind the backlog of cases to the intricate nature of the issues, the absence of established procedures, and the inadequate number of judges and personnel.Over the past decade, a substantial number of these matters have remained unresolved in both lower and higher courts.Extensive research has been conducted to ascertain the factors contributing to this rapid increase in occurrences.The main factors contributing to case backlogs were identified as a scarcity of judges, and attorneys, and inadequate court facilities and equipment.However, there has been limited research conducted to identify an effective method for reducing the number of cases by expediting their resolution.This essay argues that the effective implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) can significantly decrease the number of continuing court cases and provide advantages to all involved parties, including the general public, judges, attorneys, and clients.This paper investigates the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in the legal system, with a specifocus on three main areas of implementation: legal research, legal reasoning, and outcome prediction.In addition, the study will examine the potential utilization of AI by the Indian Judicial System, taking into account the essential factors of bias, precedents, and expenses, which are crucial for the effective implementation of AI.This paper investigates the possible lawful applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and assesses their feasibility within the Indian legal framework.This report will be valuable not only for engineers involved in the development of AI technology but also for many stakeholders in the legal field who will be utilizing it.The study delves into the intersection of AI and law, making it relevant for these individuals.
