The article considers the problem of protecting the health of pupils in out-of-school education institutions, the formation of a culture of health in them, the creation of a healthy and safe educational environment. The use of the potential of out-of-school education in providing quality educational services in the areas of physical culture, sports and health is relevant to addressing the urgent health problems of children and school youth in Ukraine. Attention is focused on the fact that out-of-school education in physical culture, sports and health is a favorable area for the development of each student as a unique individual, since they focus on the development of physical abilities, provide the necessary conditions for meaningful rest and leisure, physical education and sports, and the preparation of a sports reserve for national teams of Ukraine, acquiring healthy lifestyle skills, strengthening personal health, etc. The article emphasizes that the formation of a culture of health in out-of-school education institutions is realized through health education as a continuous process of learning, education and development of pupils, aimed at the development of a system of scientifically based knowledge and practical skills, behavior and activities that ensure a valuable attitude to health i, which is the content of the activity of pedagogical workers of out-of-school education institutions who have health-preserving competence. The specifics of the organization of physical culture and health work in complex out-of-school education institutions in Ukraine are analyzed, the specifics of the activities of physical culture, sports and health circles and the state of their software support are outlined. The experience of some out-of-school educational institutions of Kropyvnytskyi city, where these activities are implemented, is also presented. It is emphasized that in order to improve the organization of physical culture and health work of out-of-school education institutions in different regions of Ukraine, it is urgent to expand the network of various creative associations of physical culture, sports and health areas, the development of which requires attention, is in demand by children and youth, and their parents. However, provision of teachers of out-of-school education institutions with modern educational programs and methodological developments functions at an insufficient level, which requires an urgent solution.
