The article is devoted to the theoretical justification of the technology of "inverted learning" of students, which opens up new perspectives in improving the quality of education in Ukrainian higher education institutions. A short excursion into the history of the development of this technology was made. The essence, basis of the idea and features of the application of technology in the educational process are specified. Within the framework of this publication, "flipped learning" is considered as a relatively new approach to the organization of the educational process, the main idea of which is to change the role of the teacher and students, giving the latter the opportunity to work independently with the use of video lessons and other visual materials, and then improve the skills of practical application of acquired knowledge. The main stages that should be followed for the effective implementation of the inverted technology in the ZVO are defined. The peculiarities of the use of the technology of "inverted learning" by the teachers of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy and Language Training of O. M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy within the study of the discipline "Modern Ukrainian Literary Language". Attention is focused on the fact that the implementation of elements of this type of mixed learning during the study of the discipline "Modern Ukrainian Literary Language" contributes to the formation of perseverance, the ability to differentiate educational material, understand, process and interpret the most important and necessary information using a complex of information and communication resources. It was concluded that the technology of "inverted learning" in the study of the discipline "Modern Ukrainian Literary Language" has a number of advantages compared to the traditional approach of organizing the educational process. Flipped learning can help students learn better, improve communication and collaboration skills, and develop critical thinking and independence. In addition, this approach opens up a wide range of opportunities for the teacher to implement an individual approach to each student.
