The article provides a theoretical analysis of the main problems of the process of physical and special training in higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; the main directions of introduction of innovative technologies are identified, the use of which will positively affect the existing system of training of future law enforcement officers and increase the level of their professional development as highly qualified professionals of the National Police of Ukraine in a modern European country. It is substantiated that an important task in modern conditions is the formation of a new system of training law enforcement specialists due to the current military-political and crisis situation in Ukrainian society and the State as a whole. Bringing this education to a qualitatively new level, ensuring the country's defense capability and protecting the population and the state are urgent issues of our time. Higher education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is a component of the national education as an integral system, therefore it is a factor in the training of competitive law enforcement professionals. The activities of law enforcement agencies can be attributed to the profession of mixed types, which is carried out in specific complicated external conditions, requiring high mental stability, general and special endurance from employees. It is proved that the development of innovative technologies for improving the physical and special (vocational) training of future law enforcement officers in higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine should take into account the basic principles of the pedagogical process, namely: unity of education and upbringing, integrity in the educational process; the relationship between personal interest and social need; professional expediency; continuity and consistency of the educational process; focus on the formation of knowledge and skills in unity; consciousness and behavior; systematicity, continuity and consistency of knowledge, skills, abilities and personal qualities; interconnection (combination) of theoretical training with practical activities; individual and differentiated approaches to work with future law enforcement officers; combination of physical and special training into professional and applied training; effectiveness of the learning process results. It is noted that innovation is the formation of professional and applied skills and the development of priority physical and psychological qualities by increasing the time for educational forms of training, introducing professional and basic sports, organizing and conducting extracurricular forms of training, additional physical culture events and independent classes. This approach will allow solving the following tasks at the theoretical and practical levels: forming the necessary knowledge of the general theory of physical culture and sports in future law enforcement officers; raising awareness of future law enforcement officers of the need for physical education as one of the important elements for performing official duties and combating offenses; providing future law enforcement officers with the necessary knowledge of the basics of developing priority physical qualities of law enforcement officers and methods of improving their own physical and functional condition; development of (strength, speed, speed-power capabilities, endurance, agility, flexibility); improving the professional and applied physical qualities of future law enforcement officers necessary to perform their duties; developing basic professional skills for practical use when it is necessary to use physical force and special skills by future law enforcement officers; developing professional and applied skills through the organization and conduct of classes and competitions in professional and basic sports that develop important qualities and skills for performing their duties.
