INTRODUCTION: Mental health problems among children and adolescents are rising worldwide nowadays. This study aimed to analyze the global research trend on mental health in the school setting comprehensively.EVIDENCE ACQUSITION: This article used bibliometric analysis. Two keywords, "mental health" and "school setting", that have been combined with Boolean operator "AND" were applied to search relevant literature on scopus.com. Bibliometric indicators were analyzed with VOSviewer and Bibliometrix R package.EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS: Results show Lyon AR was the most productive author publishing nine articles. While the most productive country in publishing articles was the USA. The most frequently found keywords were mental health (N.=194), followed by adolescents (N.=44), children (N.=43), depression (N.=35), schools (N.=34), and anxiety (N.=26). From the multiple country publication (MCP) and single country publication (SCP), USA was the highest on MCP (N.=31) and SCP (N.=260), followed by Australia with MCP (N.=11) and SCP (N.=52), Canada with MCP (N.=8) and SCP (N.=31), UK with MCP (N.=6) and SCP (N.=51), China with MCP (N.=6) and SCP (N.=10).CONCLUSIONS: This study results present a comprehensive insight on mental health in school setting research while providing a roadmap for future research.
