The book under review is the result of forty years of work by the famous Chekhov scholar A. P. Chudakov (1938-2005). It contains more than six thousand annotated bibliographic records of articles, reviews, poems dedicated to A. P. Chekhov, published during the writer’s lifetime in various newspapers and magazines in Russia. The first volume contains bibliographic sources for 1882-1901, the second one – for 1902-1904.
