This paper introduces the evolutionary algorithms to deal with the challenge of reactive power optimization. The objective of this article is to enhance the voltage profile and minimize the real power loss of an interconnected electrical power network. This article specifically focuses on mitigating the crucial problem of power loss in electrical power systems, particularly within the two IEEE standard bus systems (14 and 30). Elevated power losses in these systems can jeopardize the overall efficiency of the network and contribute to environmental concerns. This paper aims to suggest newly developed hybrid CSA-JAYA to lower down the active power losses in the IEEE standard 14 and 30 bus systems, assess its performance in comparison to existing methods, and shed light on the potential advantages of employing bio-inspired approaches to enhance power system efficiency.
