Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is one of the most common medical conditions worldwide, characterised by chronic inflammation of the paranasal sinuses lasting for >12 weeks and the presence of nasal polyps. Its estimated prevalence is about 4% of the general population.1 Symptoms, such as loss of smell, anterior or posterior rhinorrhoea, nasal congestion, and facial pressure, may be severe and often disabling. In particular, CRSwNP is often associated with comorbidities, including asthma and aspirin/nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD).
