Over the past few decades, energy harvesting (EH) has gained significant importance due to widespread energy consumption in wireless devices. Consequently, integrating EH with wireless devices has become crucial, offering both environmental and economic benefits. The utilization of EH techniques in cooperative communication systems holds the promise of creating energy-efficient communication systems that are less susceptible to fading and shadowing while enhancing capacity and diversity. This paper studied the UAV-based cooperative communication (CC) using EH in a more practical correlated channel environment. Our study mainly targets simultaneous wireless information and power transfer over CC systems. The aforementioned study comprehensively surveys energy harvested cooperative communications and their applications.
