The article reveals the relevance, provides a brief overview of the latest research and published materials relating to the topic, and analyzes domestic and foreign research and pedagogical literature on adult education. The concepts of "technology" and "pedagogical technology" have been studied and described. The content and specific features of interactive learning in the adult education system have been specified, classifications of interactive learning technologies, the issue of applying interactive learning technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions have been considered, with the essential features of interactive learning technologies defined, and the advantages of their application in the adult education system argued. Interactive learning involves active interaction between all participants in the educational process. The roles of the teacher and the student are in constant balance. Both parties are eager to learn and share knowledge, achievements, and specific life experiences. The classification of forms and methods of interactive technologies has been addressed, such as a carousel, aquarium, brainstorming, microphone, debates, discussions, debriefing, practicing role-playing situations, simulation games, "Six Thinking Hats" method, Student Team Learning; Jigsaw (E. Aronson); Learning Together; Game Technologies, and so on. The article emphasizes the need to introduce interactive learning technologies in the process of adult education, the use of which can be successful if we take into account the age characteristics of students, their interests and needs, life and work experience, level of motivation, conditions of mutual understanding and psychological compatibility, level of interest and complexity of interactive methods. The article demonstrates the necessity of introducing interactive learning technologies into the educational process and improving its quality, focusing on the experience and features of their implementation at the present stage.
