Cloud computing has revolutionized the way businesses manage and store their data, offering scalability, affordability as well as adaptability. But these advantages also bring with them serious security risks. To identify and evaluate almost all the essential security concerns connected to cloud computing, exploring their implications and suggesting strategies to mitigate risks. Through a comprehensive examination of various security dangers including insider threats, data breaches, and compliance issues, this report provides insights for businesses to enhance their cloud security posture and safeguard their sensitive information. Over the last two decades, the landscape of computing has undergone significant changes, transitioning from client-server architectures to distributed systems and ultimately to the centralized virtualization known as cloud computing. Cloud computing has arisen as a dominant trend, representing a fundamental shift in how computing resources are accessed and managed. Unlike traditional setups where users had full control over their processes and data stored locally, cloud computing involves the provisioning of services and data storage by remote vendors, placing these resources beyond the direct control or visibility of the client.
