Magnetic resonance imaging accuracy in assessing depth of invasion in tongue squamous cell carcinomas and predicting cervical nodal metastasis.

The aim of this study was to evaluate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) accuracy in assessing the depth of invasion (DOI) compared to pathological DOI in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and to determine whether MRI-measured DOI can predict lymph node metastasis in the cervical region.
