If treatment rates for PC at MSHs matched non-MSHs, the national probability of receiving definitive therapy at MSHs would increase by 4.5% (95% CI 4.4 – 4.6). This would translate into 2692 more men with PC receiving definitive treatment in this cohort. CONCLUSIONS: The study highlights a significant disparity in the definitive treatment delivery between MSHs and non-MSHs for PC. Targeted improvements within MSHs could elevate the standard of care for the general population and play a pivotal role in diminishing racial/ethnic disparities in PC outcomes across the US.
