Interactive environment can be referred to as a new kind of environment where many components dynamically interact with each other as well as with the people using them. Interactive art exhibits, smart operating home systems, automated office spaces, engaging museum displays etc are some of the examples that can be considered as examples of interactive environment where different functions are allocate to different objects and spaces. Use of smart technology and smart space design makes possibility for generating immersive and participatory interactive environment for their users. The paper aims to discuss various design solutions generated by the students of Interior Design at University of Bahrain, for different typology of buildings like Museums, Offices, Health care institutions, homes etc. It is a qualitative study which looks into the concept of interactive built environment, multisensory involvement in creating human experience and discussing the design solutions mentioned above with two aspects: one is the inclusion of technology and the other is smart space planning.
