The advent of 5G networks has presented network operators with new challenges in terms of coverage, capacity, and service quality. As a result, it is essential to track and evaluate network performance to detect irregularities and enhance functionality. This is especially important for NonStandalone (NSA) 5G networks, which are built upon existing 4G infrastructure and might not fully realize the capabilities of 5G technology. This study emphasizes the significance of coverage measurements in 5G networks, particularly in NonStandalone (NSA) 5G networks, within a typical town setting featuring various operational scenarios. To achieve this, we employed portable smartphone devices to concurrently measure both 4G and 5G coverage performance across all three cellular network providers.
