Mini water pump is a familiar product in everybody's daily life. This product is used in many fields such as in households, in mini apartments, in poultry and livestock farms. In addition, this product can also be used to solve irrigation problems on farms, in caring for plants in parks, on streets, etc. With a large number of mini water pump types available in the market, choosing to buy a product is a complicated task. This study was carried out to solve this problem. Eleven water pump types were submitted for evaluation. These products have many different parameters such as price, capacity, working pressure, material type of motor core, origin, warranty period, etc. Two tools were used to rank pump types are the FUCA method and the PSI method. These are two methods with completely different characteristics. When using the FUCA method, it is necessary to determine the weights for criteria but no need to normalize data. On the contrary, when using the PSI method, it is necessary to normalize data, but no need to determine the weights for the criteria. To use the FUCA method, the weights of the criteria were determined by four different normalization methods. Thus, the results of ranking water pumps were performed in eight different scenarios. After ranking the pumps in eight different scenarios, a sensitivity analysis was also performed. The results were found that when using the FUCA method, the best type of pump that was found did not depend on the used weighting method. When using the PSI method, the best type of pump that was found did not depend on the used data normalization method. In particular, all eight performed scenarios determined the same best type of pump. This study also discovered that the ranks of alternatives are more stable when they are ranked by the FUCA method compared to the PSI method.
