As mentioned in the OF COUNSEL column on page 3, the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights has issued new resources for preventing discrimination against students with disabilities. The resources help institutions and students with asthma, diabetes, food allergies, and gastroesophageal reflux disease understand when they are protected by federal disability laws.
