This work analyzes educational legislation aimed at special education audiences since the promulgation of the Statute of Persons with Disabilities -Law number: 13,146/2015.Initially, the history of people with disabilities at an educational level, the evolution of legislation on the subject and the role of the manager in these legislations and educational policies are explored.For the analysis of the legislation, the theoretical/ methodological reference used was the documentary analysis of the educational legislation of the states of São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Amazonas, Goiás and Bahia, based on their State Education Plans.With this, the role of school management and the support it has to apply what the law requires is discussed.
