This research investigates the multifaceted effects of remote work on employee productivity and well-being, comparing trends before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Remote work, once a niche practice, became mainstream during the pandemic, prompting a significant shift in work arrangements globally. Drawing upon a diverse range of academic literature, empirical studies, and surveys, this study employs a comparative approach to analyze the impact of remote work. While remote work offers flexibility and eliminates commuting, potentially enhancing productivity, it also poses challenges such as blurred work-life boundaries, home distractions, and communication difficulties. Through synthesizing existing research, this study provides insights into the evolving nature of remote work and its implications for productivity and well- being.
