Abstract Acharya Priyavrata Sharma, who enlightened the wisdom of Ayurveda in the twentieth century, is known for shaping the postgraduate specialty of “ Dravyaguna ” in Ayurveda’s curriculum. His noted literary works have enriched contemporary Ayurveda literature. He published over 500 articles and 50 books and guided many scholars of Ayurveda through his visionary academic skills. He stressed the need to follow the principles of Ayurveda in research while advocating modern techniques to understand the therapeutic action of different drugs. His disciplined, passionate, and devoted life encourages us to walk the path of dedication, hard work, and diligence for the cause of Ayurveda.
