The Impact of Digital Economy Development on China's Industrial Structure Upgrading—An Empirical Analysis Based on Provincial Panel Data

On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper measures the upgrading level of industrial structure from three dimensions: the speed of industrial transformation, the advanced level of industrial structure and the rationalization level of industrial structure, and uses China's provincial panel data from 2011 to 2020 to explore the effect and mechanism of digital economy development on the upgrading of industrial structure. The results show that the development of digital economy can significantly promote the upgrading of China's industrial structure, and this effect is the most significant in the central region; The level of regional innovation is an important transmission path of the development effect of digital economy.
