This study explores the challenges and development paths of integrating ideological and political education into International Trade Practice courses in the context of higher education in China. The analysis points out that the current integration of ideological and political education in International Trade Practice courses faces issues such as insufficient teacher capability, low integration degree of course content, monotony in teaching methods, and a one-dimensional evaluation system. To address these issues, the study proposes a series of countermeasures, including enhancing teachers' ideological and political education capabilities, improving the integration degree of course content, innovating diversified teaching methods, and constructing a multi-dimensional evaluation system. These strategies aim to promote the synergistic development of ideological and political education and professional skill training in International Trade Practice courses, cultivating international trade professionals with a global vision and a sense of social responsibility.Meanwhile, this study aims to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the teaching reform of higher education courses in international trade in China through the implementation of these strategies.
