Graves disease (GD) is an autoimmune thyroid disease characterized by circulating autoantibodies that activate the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) receptor, leading to increased thyroid hormones. It is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism, accounting for 60-80% of cases, being 5-10 times more frequent in women. Hyperthyroidism typically presents with non specific symptoms related to increased metabolic and cardiac activity. Here, we have a young male presenting with minimal symptoms of heart failure (HF) as the only symptom of newly diagnosed GD, and found to have severely reduced ejection fraction (EF).
