Proper management of medical equipment in hospitals to ensure that the instruments are well-monitored is mandatory. The inventory systems of medical equipment are usually done manually by filling forms that can be assisted by word and number processing software carried out by electromedical staff. Due to the scarcity of electromedical personnel and the reliance on manual data collection, obtaining information on the administration of numerous medical devices in hospitals is challenging and time-consuming. The objective of this study was to establish a software system that supports electromedical staff to manage and monitor medical instruments in hospitals efficiently. The software was developed using visual basic programming language, particularly for the main interface. The database was established utilizing MySQL and Crystal Reports for generating the forms. After analyzing the functionality using black-box testing, the results showed that the application can be effectively accessed without any issues. Several functions of the application include medical equipment inventory, generating maintenance schedules (preventive, curative, and calibration maintenance), and displaying the equipment in a ready-to-print form. In conclusion, the developed desktop-based information system can accommodate electromedical personnel in managing and monitoring medical equipment with the accuracy of success rate 100% (no error).
