The Potential of Modeling the World in the Poetics of the Objectivity of N. S. Leskov’s Prose 1864–1866

The purpose of the article is to identify the structurality of the writer’s artistic language in connection with the philosophical and aesthetic position by analyzing the poetics of the material world of Leskov’s early prose. Results: already in Leskov’s early prose, the material world acts as the most important way of modeling the artistic world. The writer tends to two main methods of depicting the subject series — stringing and animating. Another interesting technique that allows you to aesthetically recreate the movement of living life in the self-movement of the text is the “grasping” of individual objects in the structure of the inner monologue of the hero, which we find in the chapter “Two inner worlds” of the novel “Nowhere”. Thus, Leskov’s realistic depiction of objectivity is combined with its intimate psychological perception, determined by associations and involuntary memories, which makes it possible to create a stereoscopic image of reality.
