This study aimed to conduct a complete enumeration survey based on the players and coaches affiliated with the FK League in Korea. Literature review and expert consultations were conducted to develop survey and interview questions. Subsequently, a comprehensive survey was conducted targeting all players and coaches registered in the Korea Football Association FK League and survey of 205 players and 22 coaches was used for a final study sample. The survey was conducted using Google Forms over a period of 10 days, and the collected data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS. The average age of players was 28.4 years, while the average age of coaches was 39.8 years. 93.7% of players and 95.5% of coaches were concurrently engaged in professions outside of Futsal. 63.2% of players had previous experience as football player, and reasons for transitioning from football to Futsal included inability to progress as a football player (28.3%), recruitment offers from Futsal teams (19.1%), and maintenance of player careers (9.9%). Players were recruited through recommendations from acquaintances (49%), open tryouts (26.7%), and headhunting (12.6%), while coaches were appointed through recommendations from acquaintances (33.3%), headhunting (23.8%), and club establishment (19%). Only 12.6% of players and 19% of coaches received salaries from their current affiliated clubs. This study, by listening and analyzing to the opinions of players and coaches on the field and their current situations, provides meaningful objective data for subsequent research to identify ways to improve the FK league environment.
