Tenosynovial Giant cell tumor of hand: A Rare Case Report

Giant cell tumor happens to be the second most common tumor of the hand.Being recently named as Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor , the localised type occurs predominantly in digits . We report a case of 23 year old female with progressive swelling in the hand which on MRI was suspected to be a Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor. Surgical excision of the tumor was done and was confirmed by biopsy , followed by early start of physiotherapy. On follow up there was no signs of recurrence at the end of 1 year. Hence these cases require a meticulous surgical approach and dissection for the excision and prevention of recurrence.
