Operational planning within agricultural production systems plays a pivotal role in facilitating farmers’ decision-making processes. This study endeavors to introduce a novel mathematical model aimed at optimizing plant maintenance planning. The conceptual framework of this model hinges upon the efficient allocation of labor, optimal utilization of machinery, and strategic scheduling within a designated timeframe to ensure the preservation of harvest quality. The planning intricacies are encapsulated through the utilization of a Mixed Integer Non-Linear Programming. The outcome of this study is the decrease in agricultural waste, which enhances the sustainability of production by directly affecting the utilization of natural resources. This is a crucial finding because many existing optimization models in the literature prioritize cost minimization.
