This study aims to improve the quality of life of elderly single-person households and improve life satisfaction by identifying the mediating effect of policies related to elderly single-person households on the living conditions and life satisfaction of elderly single-person households.The study aims to prepare policy measures to improve life satisfaction.This study utilized 204 elderly singleperson households among the raw data of the current status analysis and support plan study to improve the quality of life of single-person households in Pyeongtaek City, as studied by the Pyeongtaek Welfare Foundation in 2021.This study used the SPSS statistical program to conduct frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis for analysis purposes.The analysis results are as follows.First, the living conditions of elderly single-person households were found to have a significant impact on the life satisfaction of elderly single-person households.Second, the living conditions of elderly single-person households were found to have a significant impact on support policies for the elderly.Third, policies for elderly single-person households were found to have a significant impact on the life satisfaction of elderly single-person households.Fourth, policies for elderly single-person households were found to have a mediating effect between the living conditions of elderly single-person households and the life satisfaction of elderly single-person households.Based on the research results, this study proposed a plan to improve life satisfaction by improving the living conditions of elderly single-person households.
