The tripod-ball type universal coupling composite transmission shaft system is commonly used for the half shaft of the automotive drive axle. Based on its actual usage conditions, ANSYS Workbench software was used to conduct static analysis on key components. And deformation diagrams and equivalent stress diagrams of each component were obtained. The position with the highest pressure was obtained. Then the improvement plan was analyzed. The modal analysis of the system was carried out. And the natural frequencies of the first ten orders were obtained. This provides a basis for the system to avoid hazardous frequencies. Finally, harmonic response analysis was conducted on the trident sleeve, sliding pin, intermediate shaft, and bell shell. The resonance peak frequencies were obtained at 500Hz, 950Hz, and 1350Hz. The dynamic characteristics of the system were investigated. This provides a theoretical basis for further research on the transmission shaft system.
