Assessment of the Main Indicators of Economic Security of New Entities of the Russian Federation to the Beginning of the “Transition Period” of Integration to the Economy of the Russian Federation

The article presents the results of a study of the main indicators of economic security of the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye region and Kherson region as of 2022, by the time these entities join the Russian Federation. The relevance of the topic is due to the process of integration into the economy of the Russian Federation by new subjects of the Russian Federation at the time of the study. The article uses statistical data for the period 2017-2021, published by official open sources, including the official statistics service of Ukraine. An analysis is carried out of the main directions of the economy of the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the volumes of production of goods, works, services, as well as the flows of exports and imports of goods, works and services. The economic potential of the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the main threats to their economic security are determined. At the time of integration into the Russian Federation, the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation are in a phase of economic recession. To ensure their economic security, it is necessary to take measures to develop their own production of goods, works, and services.
