The majority of process industry systems needed to regulate multiple variables by manipulating several controlled variables. A MIMO system is one that has multiple inputs and outputs. The process exhibits a nonlinear response as a result of the presence of disturbances in the multivariable system; these effects must be reduced in order to linearize the system. The mathematical formulation of a MIMO system and its linearization process around a desired operating point are both demonstrated in this work. In this article, we'll examine the behaviour of a multivariable nonlinear model, and attempt to linearize and regulate the system with a PID controller using the MATLAB software. And also concluded that, the controller effectively leads the system to reach the target set point based on various circumstances around the operating region. This paper presents a MATLAB-based implementation of a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller. To validate the functionality of the model, PID is applied to the quadruple tank process. MATLAB aids in the development of an ease of handling designed primarily for research scientists.
