The article advocates for the utmost need for integrating social media applications in EFL classrooms as part of Mobile Assisted Language Learning by highlighting the benefits they holdspecifically in terms of developing speaking skills. The primary goal of the approach being discussed is not to integrate social media use into modern classrooms for the sole sake of using but instead, some of the possible, previously investigated appliances of social media platforms such as Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp are specified and their role in honing speaking aspect.
