The didactic material presented by the authors includes professionally oriented texts and lexical and grammar tasks included in them. This type of work in the Russian as a Foreign Language classes will allow Uzbek music students to enrich their vocabulary in the field of their chosen profession and overcome the language barrier. Translation of individual phrases and terms into the native language of foreign students is the easiest way to semantize the studied equivalent vocabulary, and will also save time in the class. The methodological development “Musical Art” can be used by teachers of the Russian language teaching program in classes with Uzbek music students in order to form communicative competence of future specialists (level of Russian language proficiency B1+). The texts and their tasks reflect the main general didactic principles of teaching Russian as a foreign language which includes accessibility, informativeness, communicativeness, and relevance. Thanks to the long-term cooperation in the field of education and promotion of the Russian language in Uzbekistan within the framework of the joint project “Class! Зўр!” project, the didactic material was successfully tested in work with music students at Namangan State University.
