The more flexible and simpler free curriculum is expected to help teachers focus on important lessons and allow students to participate more actively in their preferred fields, so that teachers can easily help students achieve their learning goals. However, with this curriculum change, teachers do not easily adjust the learning process, therefore the purpose of this study aims to find out what are the inhibiting factors for teachers in implementing the independent curriculum, this activity is carried out using the description method in qualitative research by making direct observations and assisted by reliable literature. The targets of this research are teachers from the elementary level. These constraints include those related to teachers' understanding and skills in applying creative and innovative learning methods, limited teaching material references, and available human resources.
