Learning media can be a support in achieving learning objectives in the classroom. Learning media has an important role, especially in students' concept understanding. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using PowToon animated video media on students' Indonesian speaking skills in elementary schools. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. The average Posttest value of the experimental class was 44.0 and the highest value was 48.0 while the average value of the control class was 31.0 so there was a considerable difference between the two. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of animated video media is more effective in improving the speaking skills of Indonesian language elementary school students compared to the lecture method.
