Abstract The current modeling techniques of a Double-fed induction generator (DFIG) for wind power systems have shortcomings in the idealization of equipment internal parameters and unitization of system coupling. In this paper, a multi-model fusion method of doubly-fed induction wind turbine modeling for wind power systems is proposed. Firstly, the 1.5 MW DFIG body is constructed according to the parameters of the physical prototype. Then, to realize the system’s control of DFIG, the DIFG external circuit and control circuit of the wind power system are built to realize multi-system coupling simulation modeling. Through simulation analysis, the effectiveness of the multi-model coupling simulation system and the availability of the method are proved.
