Abstract While it has always been recognized that all workers do not have equal access to healthy and safe work, recognition of the role of occupational hygiene in this issue is more recent. After defining work equity, this presentation will provide several examples of how occupational hygiene research has begun to explicitly address inequities and serve more workers and workplaces. Implications for future research directions and occupational hygiene education will be discussed.
