Objectives: This study assesses the impact of lifestyle changes on obesity and physical activity among individuals at risk for diabetes in Idaho. Methods: The data collected from University of Idaho Extension DPRP-enrolled participants (n=226) were analyzed. Participants, aged 18+, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) ≥24 kg/m2 and pre-diabetes or gestational diabetes, were enrolled in a year-long program. Paired t-tests evaluated BMI (initial: 32.5775 kg/m2; final: 31.4851 kg/m2) and physical activity changes. Results: The analysis revealed a significant decrease in final BMI (average 1 kg/m2) and a notable increase in physical activity levels (average 98 minutes/week) among participants. Conclusions: The study showcased a significant decrease in BMI, affirming the effectiveness of DPRP lifestyle intervention program. Funding Sources: University of Idaho.
