Origin and development of parallel story - General analysis

It is not easy to say when the tendency of story originated in language. One part of human nature is curiosity. Humans are eager to know something or the other. Humans have a strong tendency to listen to stories since childhood. A child naturally wants to hear and know new things. This is not limited to children, even intelligent people pay special attention to things told in the form of stories and listen with interest. That is, the tendency of curiosity gave birth to the story. Abstract in Hindi Language: कहानी की प्रवत्ति का उद्भव भाषा में कब हुआ, यह कह सकना सहज बात नहीं है। मानव स्वभाव का एक अंग है-जिज्ञासावत्ति। मानव कुछ न कुछ जानने के लिए उत्सुक-जिज्ञासु होता है। बचपन से ही मनुष्य में कहानी सुनने की प्रबल प्रवत्ति रही है। बच्चा स्वभावतः नयी बातें सुनना-जानना चाहता है। बच्चों तक यह बात सीमित नहीं, समझदार मनुष्य भी कहानी के रूप में कही जाने वाली बातों की ओर विशेष ध्यान देकर दिलचस्पी से सुनता है। अर्थात् कौतूहल की प्रवत्ति ने ही कहानी को जन्म दिया। Keywords: कहानी, समांतर कहानी, कमलेश्वर, पीढ़ीमुक्त कहानी।
