This paper reexamines the Basel problem, an inquiry into the sum ofthe infinite series of squared reciprocals, famously resolved by LeonhardEuler. Euler’s resolution has left a lasting legacy on the domains of mathematicalanalysis, number theory, and complex analysis. In this study, weaugment historical methodologies with contemporary computational techniques, introducing the Fascia Formula, an innovative method designedfor the efficient approximation of infinite series.
Michael Fascia (Wed,) studied this question.
