The article examines general information about photo-video registration, analyzes the means of video registration used on aircraft (hereinafter aircraft) of the state aviation of Ukraine, substantiates the ways and consequences of reducing the amount of tests in the conditions of a special period. The research was carried out using the methods of the theory of system analysis, synthesis of organizational and technical systems, comparison, and generalization. The purpose of the article was to study ways to increase the efficiency of tests of aircraft video registration devices in the conditions of a special period. To achieve the goal, the following was done: consideration of general information about video recording, video signal characteristics and types of video recorders; analysis of the main parameters of video cameras; types, methods and techniques of shooting; analysis of video recording devices used on PS and modern small-sized video recording devices; the consequences (risks) and pitfalls of reducing the volume of tests are considered. The results of the analysis should be taken into account when justifying ways to reduce the amount of tests in the conditions of a special period.
