The relevance of the study. Ukraine, facing the impact of Russian aggression, is confronted with the crucial task of ensuring informational resistance and strengthening national identity. The role of public libraries in this process is significant due to their potential as centers of knowledge and culture. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of public libraries in Ukraine as a component of informational resistance to Russian aggression and their contribution to the reinforcement of national consciousness. The methodology. The article employs both quantitative and qualitative analyses of the role of public libraries using specific regions in Ukraine as examples, as well as an examination of programs regulating the activities of these institutions. The results. The analysis revealed that public libraries in Ukraine play a substantial role in shaping the information space, promoting the strengthening of national identity, and supporting patriotic values. The scientific novelty. This work sheds light on a pertinent topic that has not received adequate investigation, specifically the contribution of public libraries to shaping informational resistance in times of war. The practical significance. The research findings can be utilized to enhance the effectiveness of public libraries, raise public awareness, and support national values. Conclusions. Public libraries in Ukraine hold significant potential in providing informational resistance to Russian aggression and play a crucial role in strengthening national consciousness and supporting the spiritual values of Ukrainian society.
