Abstract Contemporary society has important effects on mental health. According to the WHO, in 2019, one in eight people in the world suffered from a mental disorder; that is, 970 million people. The most common were anxiety and depressive disorders. Both the global and Colombian contexts show the magnitude of the problem. Colombia has important regulations on prevention and health monitoring in companies, the processes of occupational disease qualification derived from this exposure is increasing, which represents a challenge, where the enterprises will play an important role in prevention and timely diagnosis. Considering socio-political aspects is fundamental to improving impacts comprehensively. Brief learning outcomes: With this review, attendees will be able to: (i) know the achievements of the Colombian context in the processes of prevention, attention and assessment of the effects derived from occupational psychosocial risks and mental health, (ii) reflect on the analysis on how the Colombian experience can generate a path for countries with similar contexts, while promoting new lines of research in this area, and (iii) consider future collaborative alliances in mental health.
