Introduction: the article explores the strategic directions for ensuring the economic security of the Russian Federation in the context of digitalization. Main attention is paid to the analysis of risk factors contributing to threats to economic security, and the study of innovative measures to prevent digital economic crime. Materials and Methods: the materials for the study included regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation related to economic security and the digitalization of the economy, as well as reviews and analytical materials dedicated to this topic. In the study, general scientific methods of cognition were applied: dialectics, analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction. In addition, specialized methods such as content analysis and legal analysis of normative documents were used. Literature Review: in preparing the article, scientific works of M.M. Babaev, N.F. Kuznetsova, S.Ya. Lebedev, V.S. Ovchinsky, T.V. Pinkevich, and others were analyzed; modern scientific publications, dissertation research, and scientific articles by T.V. Pinkevich, V.F. Jafarli, V.I. Abramov, V.V. Grigoryev, E.L. Loginov, and others were studied. Results: the work highlights gaps in the existing system of measures to prevent digital economic crime. Specific proposals and recommendations for improving the mechanisms of regulatory legal regulation, strengthening economic security, and integrating information technologies into the system of ensuring the economic security of the Russian Federation are formulated. Discussion and Conclusions: the relevance of ensuring the economic security of the Russian Federation in the context of digitalization becomes more apparent in light of the growing threats posed by the expansion of digital technologies. The transformation of traditional threats into new forms, including in the financial sphere, requires the improvement of both the regulatory framework and innovative measures to prevent economic crime. Responding to these challenges implies a comprehensive application of new approaches in combating new threats to the economic security of the Russian Federation.
