A plan of the Ottoman city of Brăila (İbrail) and a drawing with profiles and facades from 1830 are preserved at the State Military-Historical Archive of Russia. These sources are important in that they reproduce the image of an Ottoman city before the systematization works, works that led to the demise of the Ottoman heritage. This study analyses the two sources mentioned above.
