Introduction to the Ideological History of Russian Emigration (1917–1991)

The history of Russian emigration of the period of 1917 – 1991 has extensive y historiography primarily due to the fact that the period is characterized by numerous achievements in Russian literature, art, science and culture. The political and media history of Russian emigration is well known and thoroughly studied. There exist also certain reviews of the history of Russian philosophy of this emigration period. However, the summary information on the moral, ideological and socio-political history of Russian emigration is insuffi cient and requires elementary introduction which is very often ignored because of numerous biographical and individual details.
