A Study on the Modern Education Textbook Introduction to New Educational Studies in Korea(1909) Written by Saito Ichiro during the Patriotic Enlightenment Period(1905–1910)

本論文は愛国啓蒙期(1905–1910)の朝鮮における在朝鮮日本人であり、私立学校の教師でもある斎藤一郎が著述した近代教育学教材韓国新教育学楷梯の内容を分析することにより、その教育的･政治的意味を究明することを目的とした。その結果は以下の通りである。第一に、斎藤は私立学校の急増とそれに伴う教員需要の増加に伴い、教員養成機関と近代教育学の知識を求める人が増えるにつれ、教育学研究者のための入門書と短期の教育学講習用として韓国新教育学楷梯を著した。第二に、斎藤は日本の「国是」に呼応する側面で韓国新教育学楷梯を著した。彼は「普通学校令」の第1条を参考にして教育目的を規定し、これを達成するのに必要な教育方法として三育論を提示した。また、彼は朝鮮人の警戒心を低くするために儒学経典の文句を引用し、これを媒介として「教育勅語」のような日本の教育目的を密かに朝鮮人に注入しようとしたと考えられる。// This study aimed to analyze the educational and political meaning of the modern education textbook Introduction to New Educational Studies in Korea(1909) written by Saito Ichiro during the period of Patriotic Enlightenment(1905–1910). The results are as follows. First, Saito wrote this textbook as an introduction for educational researchers and short–term educational lessons. Second, Saito also wrote Introduction to New Educational Studies in Korea in response to Japan's 'national policy'. He defined the purpose of education by referring to Article 1 of the 'General School Ordinance' enacted by Japanese officials of the Ministry of Education, and suggested the theory of Samyuk as an educational method necessary to achieve this.
