The comparative study between Swami Vivekananda’s educational philosophy and modern educational systems reveals both similarities and dissimilarities in their approach to holistic development and the objectives of education. Vivekananda’s vision underlines the holistic development of individuals, encompassing physical, mental, spiritual and social dimensions, with education serving as a tool to foster moral integrity, spiritual awakening and social responsibility. In contrast, modern educational systems primarily prioritise academic excellence and career-oriented outcomes, often ignoring the moral and spiritual aspects of education.
