With the continuous progress and development of technology, 3D oblique photography technology has become increasingly important and has been widely applied in many fields, such as natural resource monitoring and regulation, urban planning and architectural design. With the increase of large-scale 3D spatial data and the growing demand for multi level of detail expression and 3D tile construction, the research of 3D GIS has become a hot field. Cesium is a web-based open-source geographic information processing library that can be used to achieve 3D Earth visualization and model display. This article aims to explore the processing and implementation methods of 3D oblique photography tiles based on Cesium. In response to the problem of browser lag and crash caused by loading a large number of oblique photography models, a solution is proposed in this article. All oblique photography models are managed through an octree data storage structure, and they are segmented and loaded for real-time addition and removal. This allows the browser to allocate computer resources more reasonably during runtime, thereby optimizing the loading of oblique photography models and improving the application of 3D models in virtual reality and geographic information systems.
